How does Lightfoot identify speeding events?

This is based on the vehicle type and the road speed limit, the parameters are then set by your fleet manager for how long you have to speed before it records.

We base our Overspeed Severity logic on the following:

Severe: Faster than (19mph) and 40% above the speed limit
Major: Faster than (10mph) and 25% above the speed limit
Minor: Faster than (4mph) and 12% above the speed limit

Please note that BOTH conditions (‘faster than’ AND ‘percentage’) must be met for a severity to apply to an overspeed.
